How payment works

Transparent pricing, no surprises

You always know what you'll pay before you commit. Customers pay the engineer directly; engineers pay a flat platform fee per job — never a cut of their earnings.

For customers

Your card is authorised & held at booking — not charged.
The hold is only captured once your engineer accepts and completes the job.
If no engineer accepts within 48 hours, or they decline, the hold is released automatically — you're never charged.

For Gas Safe engineers

You take 100% of your earnings directly from the customer.
LP247 charges a flat platform fee per accepted job — not a percentage commission.
You choose to accept or decline each job — no obligation, no fee until you accept.

Important — how LP247 works

Engineers on LP247 are independent, self-employed Gas Safe registered traders who run their own businesses. LP247 is a marketplace that connects organisations with traders; it is not the employer or contractor and does not supervise, vet, verify or warrant engineers beyond displaying the credentials they self-declare. Payments for completed work go directly between your organisation and the engineer. Both your organisation and the trader pay LP247 a platform fee for the introduction and tools. Your organisation is responsible for its own due diligence, safeguarding and tenant access.
